Health innovators from Newcastle Hospitals are being urged to submit their bright ideas to an annual awards competition.
The Bright Ideas in Health Awards are now open for entries across nine categories, including awards that recognise: innovative devices; industry collaboration; clinical education; patient safety and quality improvement; innovation champions; digital innovation; sustainability; reduction of healthcare inequalities; and cross-organisation research.
Organised by the Academic Health Science Network for the North East and North Cumbria (AHSN NENC), the awards, which Newcastle Hospitals is proud to sponsor, are open to individuals and teams from across the NHS, including those in primary and secondary care, universities, and regional businesses and organisations working within the health sector.
Any innovators from our Trust who would like support and advice with their entry can contact Charlotte Fox, commercial enterprise team’s innovation business manager here.
The awards are free to enter and winners will receive a cash prize and support from innovation experts at the AHSN NENC to progress their ideas.
The submission deadline is extended to Monday 5 December, 2022. Finalists will be announced in February next year and invited to attend the awards ceremony in March at the Hilton Newcastle Gateshead.
