Novopath has moved to the The Biosphere, a purpose built laboratory building dedicated to innovation, research, development and commercialisation.
The lab is based in the bustling Newcastle Helix quarter and is co-located with the North East Innovation Lab enabling closer working with their combined services for diagnostics.
The team is part of the cellular pathology service at Newcastle Upon Tyne Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, providing high quality specialist lab services to clients including researchers, academics, healthcare providers and industry to support their research and diagnostic needs.
The Novopath team uses a range of cellular pathology techniques to identify disease in human tissue.
Services include:
· The biobank provides access to three million clinical tissue samples – both archived and prospectively collected for clients on request
· Histology and molecular pathology techniques
· State-of-the art equipment enabling the team to keep pace with innovative and effective ways to help clients improve their research.
